No. Reading receipts, sorting items into categories, and speech recognition all run on
your device. Nothing is uploaded for recognition.
Why doesn't an item amount match the receipt total?
Discounts, tax, or fees printed for the whole receipt make the items add up to a different
amount. The app shows the difference as "Other" and tells you when the numbers don't add up, so
you can check the items before saving.
How does the e-invoice prize check work?
For Taiwan e-invoices, the app reads the invoice number from the QR code and compares it
with the winning numbers published by the Ministry of Finance. Only the public list of winning
numbers is downloaded; your invoice numbers never leave your device.
What does iCloud Sync do?
It's optional and off by default. When you turn it on, your expenses (including receipt
photos), categories and glossary are stored in your own iCloud account so they show up on your
other devices signed in with the same Apple ID. Nothing is shared with us or with anyone else.
Why is an AI feature missing on my device?
AI features that need Apple Intelligence only appear when your device supports it and the
on-device model is ready. Go to Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri to check availability.
The app remains fully usable without it — receipts are still read with on-device text
recognition and built-in rules.
